Sasol Lubricants

Sasol Engine Oil Synthetic M 5W-40 is a fully synthetic, API SM/CF, multigrade engine oil that has been evaluated and proved under the severest conditions imaginable. It is suitable for use in racing engines and other high-performance engines.

Sasol Engine Oil Multigrade I4 15W-40 is a multigrade, zinc-fortified, heavy duty, internal combustion engine oil formulated from quality base stocks and additives.

Application:
Recommended as a year-round cooling system additive, Sasol Coolant Conc 100 is used for water-cooled internal combustion engines. It offers protection against:
– Damage as a result of coolant freezing during inclement weather
– Corrosion of the radiator, engine and other component surfaces exposed to the coolant

Features & Benefits:
Sasol Coolant Conc 100 may be used in a mixture with water in ratios of between 1 : 3 and 1 : 1, depending on the degree of protection required. Antifreeze in a cooling system is recommended to be replaced annually. Drain and thoroughly flush the cooling system with clean water before filling with Sasol Coolant Conc 100. Do not top up with plain water but use the same mixture as used for the initial fill. N.B. DO NOT MIX DIFFERENT BRANDS OF ANTIFREEZE.

Sasol Engine Oil 2-Stroke is a specially formulated, self-mixing 2-stroke engine oil that has low ash-forming properties to prevent plug fouling, piston deposits, ring sticking, and exhaust deposits. The oil gives superior detergency, dispersancy, and lubricity in two-stroke cycle engine lubricant applications.

Application:
Because of its excellent thermal stability, Sasol Engine Oil 2-Stroke is particularly recommended for high-temperature applications such as high-output, air-cooled engines. Sasol Engine Oil 2-Stroke is suitable for use in 2-stroke engines of
– all motorcycles, mopeds and scooters
– chain saws
– lawn mowers
– generators
that are lubricated either by autolube systems or petroil mixtures.

Sasol Engine Oil 2-Stroke is NOT intended for outboard motors.

Features & Benefits:
The engine manufacturer’s recommendations must be adhered to when preparing petroil mixtures. Sasol Engine Oil 2-Stroke is dyed green for ease of identification when added to fuels. To indicate whether it is pure petrol or a mixture, the mixture is green and not red, orange or yellow.

Application:

Sasol Differential 80W-90 has been developed for:
– Spiral bevel and moderately offset hypoid axles operating under various combinations of high speed, low speed, high torque, and shock load service conditions.
– Transmissions of automotive equipment operating under the API service conditions quoted below.

Features & Benefits:
Sasol Differential 80W-90 is NOT recommended for automotive synchromesh gearboxes or final drives where GL-4 oils with milder extreme pressure properties (such as Sasol Gearbox Oil 80W-90) are recommended.

Sasol Engine Oil Synthetic 10W-40 is synthetic, multigrade engine oil that has been formulated for use heavy duty petrol and diesel engines under severe conditions.

Description

The Sasol Brake Fluid DOT 4 brake fluid complies with the National Compulsory Standard Specification for Hydraulic Brake Fluids. Sasol Brake Fluid DOT 4 is not a mineral oil, but somewhat toxic hydraulic fluids, blended from glycols and selected additives. Skin and eye contact should be avoided. If swallowed obtain medical assistance.

Avoid spillage onto vehicle paintwork which can be damaged if left in contact with the product. The product is hygroscopic (absorb water) and should be replaced annually, especially in coastal areas, to prevent rusting of components and possible brake failure due to water vapour in the system. Containers must be kept tightly sealed.

Sasol Engine Oil Synthetic N 5W-30 is a fully synthetic lubricant formulated with modern performance additives to help provide long engine life and protects critical parts related to lubricant failures for up to 8 000 kms or OEM recommended oil change interval.

Formulated with high quality mineral base stocks and specially developed additives, Sasol Engine Oil Multigrade L 20W50 is a high-performance multigrade engine oil.
